Israeli companies did $60 million worth of business with UNRWA in 2020-2023, though they have since cut at least direct ties since October 7, according to Calcalist.

However, an investigation done by Yisrael Beiteinu MK Yulia Malinovsky suggests that a substantial amount of money is paid from UNRWA to Israeli companies via thirds parties.

Israel has been working to end UNRWA's role as aid and service provider to Gazan civilians due to the exposure of intensive ties between many employees and Hamas, including a number who participated in the October 7 massacre in southern Israel.
