With reports coming in of the attempted elimination of Marwan Issa, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu said that Hamas leaders "are all marked for death."

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu sent a videotaped message to the Hamas terror organization: “We are heading to an absolute victory. On the path to the absolute victory, we’ve already eliminated Hamas’ number four. 3, 2, and 1 are on the way. They are all marked for death, we will get to everyone.”

The Prime Minister is believed to be referring to Saleh al-Arouri, who was killed in an aerial strike in Lebanon on January 2, 2024, even though Israel has yet to officially take responsibility for this strike.

Netanyahu’s statement comes a few hours after a report today (Monday), according to which Hamas is trying to confirm if Marwan Issa was killed in an air strike.

Mohammad Dief’s Deputy

According to the report, the IDF struck at the Nusseirat refugee camp Saturday night, based on intelligence that Issa was hiding in one of the apartments. The IDF then repeatedly struck the area to prevent Hamas forces from approaching the assassination site. The operation was kept a secret and has now been released for publication, over 24 hours after the attempt.

Issa is one of the most senior Hamas leaders and a deputy of Mohammad Dief. He is considered the liaison between the military and political wings of Hamas. Issa maintained a low media profile and rarely appeared in public. If he has in fact been eliminated, he would be the most senior Hamas leader to be killed since the beginning of the war.
