State Camp party chairman, minister, and war cabinet member Benny Gantz appealed today (Sunday) to Israel’s Muslim citizens regarding the month of Ramadan, which starts tomorrow.

He congratulated them: “Muslim citizens of Israel, at the beginning of the month of Ramadan, I wish to first of all wish you Ramadan Mubarak. Who will give that this be a month of being in the embrace of your family, a month of faith and prayers.”

Gantz added that “These days, the State of Israel is in a difficult campaign which began with the murderous attack of Hamas terrorists on all Israeli citizens, including Muslims. Our war is not against Islam – but against those who harmed the values of Islam. Against those who committed crimes against humanity, and who sought to tear apart Israeli society and our shared future. Even today, the murderers of Hamas want to see the month of Ramadan turn from a month of prayers to a month of blood. But this is not our path. I know they do not represent the absolute majority of Israeli Arab citizens.”
