After barrage at northern Israel: IDF attacks Hezbollah infrastructure

The IDF confirmed that 35 rockets were fired from Lebanon towards Meron in northern Israel this morning, (Sunday) some of which were intercepted. In response to the attack, Israeli fighter jets pounded Hezbollah's infrastructure in southern Lebanon, including an anti-tank launch site and buildings used for military purposes.

Shortly after the heavy barrage towards Mount Meron and Sasupa, the IDF spokesman confirmed that about 35 launches were detected from southern Lebanon. No injuries have been reported thus far.

IAF fighter jets attacked in the Ayta al-Sha'ab area, an anti-tank launch position of the organization in the Maroun al-Ras area and a military structure containing operatives of the organization in the Khirbat Salem area in southern Lebanon.

It was later reported that Hezbollah accepted responsibility for the rocket attacks, saying it fired Katyushas at Israel in response to the bombings of villages in southern Lebanon - in particular the attack in Khirbet Selm yesterday, which claimed the lives of three family members - all of them Hezbollah terrorists.

Hezbollah claims that the number of operatives eliminated since the beginning of the war in Gaza has now reached 241, but the IDF says that the real number is higher.
