Anti-Israel protesters swarm AOC in NYC
Democrat Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was harassed by anti-Israel protesters outside the Alamo Drafthouse movie theater in Brooklyn for allegedly refusing to label the War in Gaza a "genocide."
Masked activists ran up to Ocasio-Cortez and her fiancé, Riley Roberts, and followed them down escalators, while another protester shouted at Cortez and cited the 30,000-death toll in Gaza, as reported by Hamas.
“If you can’t say it, just say it. Literally. We’re just talking to you like normal people. Just say it’s a genocide. Just say it. Over 30,000 people are dead AOC, you can’t just say it for once,” yelled the protester.
Retracting her statement?
Cortez proceeded to tell one of the activists that he was, “completely out of context." Then she appeared to retract her previous statements and agree that the war was, in fact, genocide. "I already said that it was. And y’all are just gonna pretend that it wasn’t. Over and over again. It’s f---ed up man. And you’re not helping these people. You’re not helping them,” she shouted.
According to Fox News, Ocasio-Cortez has repeatedly attacked Israel's war effort following the Oct. 7 massacre, in which more than 1,200 people were murdered and around 250 taken hostage to Gaza, calling for an immediate ceasefire and suggesting that the U.S. "condition aid, if not cut aid to the Netanyahu government."
"War crimes"
The Democratic Party representative from N.Y. has also accused Israel of committing war crimes against Palestinians, while pointing out that she was not defending Hamas.
