The Transportation Ministry held meetings and conducted war games today (Monday) to practice keeping the skies open in an emergency, possibly in case of an escalation in the war with Hezbollah or other scenarios.

The war games included representatives from the ministry, the airports, civil transportation, the Israel Police, IDF, and the Population Authority. The aim is to better synchronize efforts in an effort to keep Israel both open and safe.

The ministry stressed not only the practical importance of keeping the airports open but also their psychological importance, showing the enemy and the world that Israel is unfazed by efforts to harm her.
