1 killed, 7 wounded in anti-tank attack from Lebanon

The IDF is targeting terrorist operatives southern Lebanon.

One person was killed and seven wounded - two of them seriously, after an anti-tank missile was fired from Lebanon into a field in the northern Galilee today (Monday) morning. The Magen David Adom said that four others were moderately injured and one person sustained light wounds in the incident. All of the wounded are Thai workers employed in the area.

The injured were airlifted to evacuated to Rabin Medical Center-Hasharon Hospital, Rambam Medical Center, and Ziv Medical Center.

Shortly after the shooting, an UAV infiltration alert was activated in the Kiryat Shmona area and its surroundings. A few minutes later, it was deemed safe to move about the area apparently after the downing of the enemy drone.

"We picked up two casualties who were injured by an antitank missile on agricultural land. Both casualties in their 30s had shrapnel injuries, one in serious condition, fully conscious with facial injuries and shrapnel injuries to the rest of his body," recounted MDA Medic Eli Assouline.

"We provided medical treatment including bandaging and pain relief, before evacuating the victim to the MDA Helicopter, and he is being evacuated to Beilinson Hospital."

Lebanese sources said that the IDF is returning fire, targeting a site in the South of the country.
