President of Colombia Gustavo Petro announced that his country will suspend arms purchases from Israel following an incident yesterday (Thursday) in which a crowd of Gazans was trampled and shot after trying to mob aid trucks delivering goods to the embattled area.

Petro announced that following the death of "dozens of Gazans," there will be no further weapons purchases from Israel at the moment.

The Colombian leader also distanced himself from the Jewish State, which he visited only about two years ago, accusing Netanyahu of "murdering a hundred Palestinians." In a repetition of Brazilian President Lula da Silva's tirade comparing the war in Gaza to the Holocaust a few weeks ago, Petro said the event "reminded (him) of the Holocaust."
