Watch: IDF planes bombard Lebanon in response to rocket barrage

In response to the heavy rocket barrage targeting Kiryat Shmona and a number of kibbutzim in northern Israel, the IDF is now attacking Hezbollah targets in Lebanon.

Following the massive rocket barrage this morning, (Wednesday) in which Hamas in Lebanon took responsibility for targeting Kiryat Shmona and a number of kibbutzim in northern Israel, the IDF destroyed the organization's military infrastructure in southern Lebanon.

About 10 launches were detected towards northern Galilee, with one missile hitting a nine-story building in Kiryat Shmona. Israel's air defenses successfully intercepted the other missiles.

In response to the launches, the IDF attacked a warehouse where weapons were stored as well as a Hezbollah weapons production site in the Ramiah region of southern Lebanon. In addition, a weapons production factory was destroyed in the area of Kharbat Salem.

The military arm of Hamas in Lebanon later accepted responsibility for the launch of 40 Grad missiles at the northern Galilee.
