Elections for local government continue: according to Interior Ministry numbers, the voting rate across the country now stands at 26% as of 15:00, or 1.8 million residents. This is still a significant decline compared to the numbers from previous elections – in 2018, for example, the voting rate was 32% at the same time.
The highest voting rates were registered in Mi’ilya (56.5%0, Deir Hanna (55.7%), Kuseife (54.6%), Ein Ma’ahal (51.6%), Lakiya (49.6%), Rechasim (49.4%), and Dalyat al-Karmel (49%).
Voting rates are a lot lower in the big cities – 23% in Tel Aviv, 21% in Haifa, 16.4% in Jerusalem, 20.2% in Beer Sheva, 26.1% in Ashdod, 26.2% in Bnei Brak, and 18.2% in Rishon Letziyon.
In terms of regions, Judea and Samaria has the highest voting rate – 32.9%. In the north, the rate is 31.6%, 28.6% in the south, and 25.4% in the center.
