The IDF announced this morning (Thursday) that over the past day, the forces of Division 162 continued to deepen their offensive activity in the Zeitoun neighborhood in southern Gaza. At the same time, the IDF continued to eliminate terrorists and destroy terrorist infrastructure in Khan Yunis. IDF ships also attacked and destroyed a number of Hamas vessels in the southern Gaza Strip.

According to the IDF spokesman, the 215th fighter brigade alerted fighter jets and aircraft that attacked more than 10 terrorist targets in the Zeitoun area, from which attacks were carried out and directed against our forces.

As part of the activities of the combat team fighters of the 401st Brigade in Zeitoun, soldiers destroyed multiple terrorist infrastructures and eliminated about 20 terrorists over the past day.

In one instance, soldiers identified a terrorist aiming an RPG launcher at them, before eliminating him at short range before he had a chance to fire the weapon.

During patrols carried out by the Nahal Brigade's combat team in central Gaza, the forces located and destroyed a launching site from which terrorists were apparently planning to launch rockets at Israel.

In another sector in western Khan Yunis, the IDF eliminated over 15 terrorists during the last day. As part of raids on terrorist targets carried out by the forces, the fighters located Kalashnikov rifles, grenades, military equipment, and explosive charges intended to attack the forces. Our forces also directed an aircraft that attacked a military building where a terrorist squad was located.

In another part of the Gaza, the Givati Brigade's combat team eliminated an armed terrorist squad as part of a successful sniper ambush. An IDF commando unit in western Khan Yunis seized a weapons cache along with documents and military equipment belonging to Hamas.
