Due to protestors blocking crossings, Israel prepares to open Karni crossing to aid trucks

Due to the many protests at broder crossings with Gaza to halt aid trucks, a political source says Karni crossing will be opened to allow aid into the northern Gaza Strip.

With the multiple protests blocking aid trucks into Gaza, ABC reported today (Wednesday) that Israel intends to reopen the Karni border crossing to ease aid movement into the northern Gaza Strip, according to a political source talking to the American network.

According to the UN, the northern part of the Gaza Strip is almost entirely cut off from aid entering the area.

Meanwhile, the Tzav Tesha movement leading the protests responded that “this means serious harm to IDF soldiers and makes the return of the hostages more distant. The people will not stand aside.”

According to them, “the Israeli government must stop now and finally take responsibility. Sending in aid trucks clearly means cementing and strengthening Hamas rule. This is serious and ongoing harm to IDF soldiers fighting in the Gaza Strip and a terrible distancing of the return home of the hostages.”

They also noted that “it’s clear to all that these trucks do not in any way reach the Gazan population but rather straight to the terrorists of the murderous terror organization which committed the horrific massacre on October 7. We will not stand aside! Citizens and relatives of the hostages, relatives of the fallen, survivors of Nova, and residents of the Perimeter will continue to fight with determination so that no aid passes until the last of the hostages returns.”
