The IDF's successful operation yesterday in Jenin ended with the elimination of three terrorists. Shadham Abu Tabih (Abu Amr), a terrorist from the Islamic Jihad in Jenin, who was injured in the 'Home and Garden' operation last July, was also arrested.
An IDF aircraft fired at terrorists who were shooting at the forces and killed three of them. One of those killed was Aref Kadumi, commander of Fatah's al-Aqsa Martyrs Battalions in Qalqilya.
"During the counter-terrorism operation in Jenin, soldiers from the commando Duvdevan unit, the Haruv patrol, and Border Police eliminated three terrorists, detained 14 suspects under the direction of the Shin Bet, and wounded others. Weapons and explosives planted with the aim of harming our forces were confiscated.
Also, during the operation, an IDF aircraft struck terrorists firing at the soldiers," said an IDF spokesman.
With the liquidation of Kadumi, the number of terrorists eliminated by the IDF since the beginning of the war in Judea, Samaria, and Jerusalem rose to 400. That is about three per day or 130 a month over that time period - numbers not seen since the Second Intifada.
