IDF soldiers begin a week of early voting in local elections - from the battlefield
With local elections set to take place around the country on February 27, the law has been amended to allow the tens of thousands of soldiers in the field to vote at military polling stations over the course of a week.

The IDF is set to begin early voting today (Tuesday) for local elections in select military polling stations established in the field and in bases, which will continue until the end of election day, February 27.
According to the IDF Spokesperson, the army is preparing to open 925 polling stations, including 125 mobile ones, to allow the tens of thousands of enlisted, regular, and reserve soldiers still on duty to vote for local leaders and council positions in their hometown.
The question of the date of the local election was put off a number of times due to the war until the government finally settled on February 27.
