First Sergeant Yonathan Ron, who was seriously wounded in an operation in Jenin, has now been released from Rambam Hospital on the road to further recovery.

Border Guard First Sergeant Yonathan Ron, who was seriously wounded in an attack against Border Guard Forces in Jenin a month ago, was just released (Monday) from Rambam Hospital, on his road to recovery.

First Sergeant Ron was evacuated to Rambam due to serious injuries to his legs, after Jenin terrorists detonated a 50 kg explosive against the armored vehicle he was riding in. His fellow officer Second Sergeant Shai Darmai ob”m was killed in the attack.

Ron recalled during his hospitalization that his helmet was hit from the strength of the blast and was seriously cracked, though his main injury was in his lower body. He was evacuated under heavy fire to Rambam, first to the ICU and then to be operated on and treated in various departments.

First Sergeant Ron had an infectious optimism regarding his future full recovery which took in all the doctors and nurses.
