The IDF announced that yesterday (Sunday) during a rocket launch that crossed into Israeli territory and fell in an open area, the Nahal Brigade identified the terrorist who carried out the attack in the vicinity of Gaza City. At the direction of the ground force, an IAF aircraft eliminated the operative. In addition, the IDF spokeswoman stated that armed squads operating in close proximity to IDF forces were eliminated.
Meanwhile, soldiers from the 7th Brigade combat team continue clearing Western Khan Yunis. Over the past day, they raided terrorist targets where Kalashnikov machine guns, drones, an RPG launcher, explosive devices, and other military equipment were found and confiscated.
Soldiers aided by an aircraft and helicopter gunships eliminated terrorists operating near the forces in the area.
In western Khan Yunis, the paratrooper brigade's combat unit identified a terrorist squad moving towards them using a drone. In response, they directed an aircraft that eliminated the squad. A short time later, four more terrorists were identified in the area and were also eliminated by IAF aircraft.
Commando units continue to operate in the city as well. Over the past 24 hours, our forces have encountered armed terrorists and eliminated them, also raiding terrorist targets, where they seized weapons caches.
The IDF also stated that following rocket sirens that were activated in the Gaza Envelope earlier this morning, no launches were detected that crossed into Israeli territory.
