Report: Hostile parties tried to divert an Israeli plane

Hostile parties took over the communications network of an El Al plane heading from Israel to Thailand and divert it from its path.

An El Al flight departing from Phuket, Thailand and heading for Israel experienced an attempt by unknown hostile parties to take over the plane’s communications network, during which the parties on the network tried to get the plane to land in another location.

An El Al flight heading in recent days on a routine flight from Thailand to Ben Gurion airport experienced an attempted takeover of its communications network by hostile parties, during which the parties tried to get the plane to land in an unknown location.

The attempted hijacking did not last, and the routine flight was ultimately completed safely with no additional complications.
