The "Green Prince"

Son of Hamas founder: My father needs to receive the death sentence

Mosab Hassan Yousef, son of one of the co-founders of the terrorist organization, was asked if he thought there were non-combatants in Gaza, and replied: "The absolute majority of Palestinians cooperate with Hamas."

The "Green Prince," Mosab Hassan Yousef, the son of one of the senior Hamas figures in Judea and Samaria and co-founder of the terrorist group, arrived in Israel last weekend and toured the kibbutzim devastated by the Oct. 7 surprise attack.

"After October 7, it was impossible not to come and stand by these people. Images of the massacre changed my life," he said in an interview with Mako News.

Mosab grew up in Ramallah and is the eldest son of Sheikh Hassan Yousef Khalil, one of the founders of Hamas. Terrorism was the family business, and the father spent most of his time between his home in Ramallah and Israeli prisons, while his eldest son bought up weapons and planned terror attacks on Israeli civilians. At the age of 17, everything changed for young Mosab, when he was arrested and witnessed Hamas cruelty in Israeli prisons from up close.

"For many years I protected my father and justified him. I saved his life. That was a mistake," he says. According to Mosab, his father insists on maintaining his extreme ideology." I have to take him and push his head into the blood of the massacre, so maybe he will feel a little what happened on October 7," he says angrily.

Mosab has been spreading his message on every possible platform since the massacre and when the national information system invited him to join the Israeli media campaign, he agreed without hesitation.

The "Green Prince" as he refers to himself in one of his books which has also been produced into a popular movie, arrived at the stricken kibbutzim in the South, where he witnessed the outcome of the atrocities committed by Hamas and even entered the Gaza Strip with IDF forces while his father once again finds himself behind bars in an Israeli prison.

"There is no chance of peace with Hamas - they must be eliminated - there is no other option," Mosab told Israeli journalists.

During his tour, he was asked if he thought there were non-combatants in Gaza and responded: "The absolute majority of Palestinians cooperate with Hamas because they voted for them, defend them and most importantly - failed in their moral duty to condemn them. Is this the way of Allah? Massacring peace-seeking individuals?"

Mosab also said he opposes the release of terrorists with blood on their hands and calls for their execution. When asked if this statement also included his father, he answered with confidence: "My father has spent 36 years promoting incitement. He wants everyone to go die for the cause. Prisoners like Ibrahim Hamed and Abdullah Barghouti must receive a death sentence - as well as Sheikh Hassan Yousef. There are no exceptions."
