A new survey published this morning on the 'Maariv' website shows that the State Camp led by Benny Gantz is getting significantly stronger, while Otzma Yehudit's Ben Gvir lags just behind Yesh Atid's Yair Lapid and Religious Zionist Party leader, Bezalel Smotrich, would fail to pass the voting threshold if elections were to take place today.
According to the survey, conducted by Lazar Research Institute, the political map currently looks like this: the State Camp under Benny Gantz with 40 seats, the Likud - 18, Yesh Atid - 12, Otzma Yehudit - 10, Yisrael Beytenu - 10, Shas - 9, United Torah Judaism - 7, Hadash Ta'al - 5, Ra'am - 5, and Meretz with 4.
The Religious Zionist Party - 2.9%, Balad - 1.4% and Labor - 1% would all fall below the voting threshold.
According to division into political blocs: The current coalition would muster up a measly 44 mandates, while the Opposition would win out with 76.
The survey also asked which of the candidates would be most suitable to serve as Prime Minister. 47% said they viewed Gantz as the best man for the job compared to 32% for Netanyahu and another 21% had no opinion on the matter.
