A new poll conducted by Midgam for the Nadav Peri podcast shows a majority of Israelis believe victory is possible in the war, but a majority also think Bibi's talk of "absolute victory" is for political purposes rather than the actual objective, according to Channel 12 reporter Amit Segal.
Per the poll, 52% believe absolute victory over Hamas is possible compared to 37% who don't, with 11% who don't know.
Of these, 81% of voters for the Netanyahu bloc and 27% of voters for the anti-Netanyahu bloc believe absolute victory over Hamas is possible. Meanwhile, 13% of voters for the Netanyahu bloc and 62% of voters for the anti-Netanyahu bloc do not believe this.
On the question of whether Prime Minister Netanyahu's talk of absolute victory is meant solely for political purposes or is the goal of the war, a smaller majority, 50-43%, says that it is a slogan for political purposes.
Of these, 11% of Netanyahu bloc voters and 73% of anti-Netanyahu bloc voters say that "absolute victory" is a slogan for political purposes. Meanwhile, 83% of Netanyahu bloc voters and 23% of anti-Netanyahu bloc voters said that this is the actual goal of the war.
