An IDF soldier was killed and several others wounded in a rocket attack launched from Lebanon Wednesday morning.
"A short while ago, numerous launches were identified from Lebanon into the areas of Netu'a, Manara, and an IDF base in northern Israel," said an IDF spokesman. "The IDF struck the sources of the attack. As a result of the launches, an IDF soldier was killed, and several others were wounded. The soldiers were evacuated for medical treatment at a hospital. Their families have not yet been informed," he added.
Following reports of a direct hit on a house in Tzfat, Magen David Adom said they were treating eight wounded - one in serious condition, one in moderate, and six in light condition.
The wounded were transferred to Ziv Medical Center in the city.
Yesterday (Tuesday) Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah rejected proposals for ending the conflict on the border, arguing that Hezbollah would not stop until Israel puts an end to the war in Gaza, according to Kan 11 News reporter Roi Kais.
According to Kais, Nasrallah emphasized that neither political carrots such as increased influence in choosing the President of Lebanon, nor sticks in the form of threatened war would deter him.
