Housing and Construction Minister and Israel Land Administration Chairman sent a letter today (Monday) to ILA Director Yanki Quint, requesting the immediate eviction of UNRWA from buildings on state-owned land and that an audit be conducted of all business done with the organization, according to Channel 12 News reporter Amir Segal.
This decision is the latest in a series of sanctions Israel has been imposing on the aid organization, which stands accused of working together with Hamas and providing it cover for a variety of terrorist actions and structures.
The discovery of UNRWA employees with terror ties or who participated in October 7, along with the discovery of multiple terror tunnels under UN buildings served as the catalyst.
The Israeli government, including Prime Minister Netanyahu and Foreign Minister Israel Katz, have openly declared their objective to replace UNRWA as an agency providing services and aid to Gazans due to these revelations.
