One of the more interesting local elections to take place at the end of this month will be in Tel Aviv, where a close race is emerging between veteran Mayor Ron Huldai and former minister and MK Orna Barbivai, who left the Knesset to run in local elections.

According to a Maariv poll, Huldai is expected to win, albeit not overwhelmingly: Huldai gets 36%, Barbivai 30% and the rest either chose other candidates or don’t know/haven’t decided. Where this large group breaks may determine the fate of the election.
