David Chai Chisdai, one of the four settlers sanctioned by the Biden administration as responsible for violent attacks on Palestinians in Judea and Samaria, said in an interview with Walla News that he remains defiant and is "happy to be on America's blacklist."

Chisdai, who is officially barred from engaging in financial activity in the United States or entering the country, told Walla that "I just want to update Biden that our Torah forbids us from leaving the Holy Land to an impure land and I am therefore happy that he is helping me observe the Torah."

Regarding the decision of Bank Leumi to freeze his account in accordance with the US sanctions, Chisdai said that "I hope that they fix the injustice and free my money."

Chisdai is alleged to have led a riot in the village of Hawara in retaliation for a previous Palestinian terrorist attack, which led to the death of a Palestinian civilian.
