IDF Commandos Raid Khan Yunis | Watch

The Commando Division is deepening its control of Khan Yunis, killing terrorists and raiding a PIJ intelligence command post.

The IDF announced today (Thursday) that the Commando Division was continuing the offensive in the Khan Yunis area, deepening operational control of a bastion of Hamas terrorists. The soldiers, who specialize in guerilla warfare, are fighting in a particularly challenging area and demonstrating their operational skill and experience.

According to a statement by the IDF Spokesperson, the advancement of the forces in the area was accompanied by a great deal of friction with terrorist squads, who were eliminated with precision rifle fire, guided missiles, and tank fire. In one case, Egoz unit soldiers identified three armed terrorists and struck them with an Iron Sting missile which eliminated them. During another raid on a building in the area, soldiers eliminated four terrorists in close-quarters combat.

In a designated force of the Egoz unit sniper force, the soldiers carried out a number of precise strikes adapted to hit terrorist squads who attack from underground, allowing the IDF to deceive and then eliminate those units.

The IDF also note that Maglan unit forces have been operating in force in the area, eliminating many terrorists in fierce fighting, raiding terror targets, and locating weapons caches.

The soldiers raided a military HQ of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad’s intelligence array as well as a Hamas HQ where they located a great deal of weapons, ammunition, tactical communication devices, night vision goggles, maps, and highly valuable intelligence information.
