In the shadow of the war and the many casualties, the 75th anniversary of the founding of the Knesset was marked with a prayer for the State of Israel, the soldiers of the IDF, and the Israeli hostages. All the regular events for this anniversary and those planned specially for the 75th one were cancelled.
A special prayer on the eve of Tu Bishvat was held, with the participation of Knesset Chairman Amir Ohana, government ministers, and MKs from the coalition and the opposition.
At the end of the prayer, the IDF Chief Cantor, Shai Abramson, said the prayer for the State of Israel, the IDF soldiers, and the hostages and missing:
