The Yesh Atid faction placed a request on the Knesset table for a special debate with the participation of Prime Minister Netanyahu on the state budget for 2024. Members of the ruling coalition also joined the request, which was submitted to the Knesset speaker. The request was signed by most opposition Knesset members, as well as members of Gantz's party, who joined the coalition recently as part of a national emergency government.

The document submitted to the Knesset secretary states: "Despite expectations for a wise and values-based change in priorities, and instead of approving a budget that assists the needy, reserve soldiers, and strengthens the sense of security, once again, the government, led by its head, is advancing a politically shameful and irresponsible budget."
