The IDF located and destroyed Hamas military industrial factories in the central Gaza Strip. Combat teams belonging to 36th Division together with Yahalom and Shaldag soldiers exposed and destroyed the heart of Hamas’ weapons making near the Saladin route.
The industrial area was comprised of factories and lathes, both above and below ground, which provided ammunition and weapons to Hamas terrorists. The soldiers located dozens of tunnel shafts hundreds of kilometers long, including one underneath the home of a senior Hamas official in the weapons manufacturing department. The tunnels had been divided into spaces for different kinds of weapons manufacture and their delivery around the network.
