Israel-Gaza War
Israel Speeding Up Production and Development of Aerial Interceptors - Including Laser Systems
Israel has greatly ramped up its orders from local military industries, with a heavy emphasis on ammunition and systems for intercepting aerial projectiles, according to a report by Calcalist.

Calcalist reports Israel has greatly ramped up its orders from local defense industrial companies for the war. Orders include "simple" things like basic ammunition to aerial interceptors, especially laser interceptor systems which have shown promise during the war.
According to the report, Israel is also swamped with orders from abroad, as many countries around the world are arming in the face of aggression from Russia and China and increased uncertainty around the world. Israel's defense systems in particular have impressed countries such as Finland and Germany, who ordered multi-billion-dollar missle defense systems before the war started.
Israel intends to invest much of the defense aid provided by the United States in its laser interceptor system, which it considers critical giving the changing nature of the battlefield it faces, with multiple drones, rockets, and missiles aimed and fired at it almost daily.
Sources in the Israeli defense industry believe that the skyrocketing of orders will lead not only to backlog and delays but also critical investment in weapons and defense systems Israel has a critical need for in the days ahead.
