After discovering a letter in which she says goodbye to her family on her way to becoming a 'martyr', Border Guard soldiers managed to hunt down a 14-year-old girl, the daughter of a terrorist who carried out an attack in the Judea and Samaria region, near the Old City.
Police officers of the David Division who operated last night in the Old City of Jerusalem, a stack of pages among which was a letter that aroused their suspicion, located near the door of a Jewish house on a menorah. Upon checking its contents, they found the name of a suspect who expressed her desire in the letter to be a martyr ('Shahid') and in fact said goodbye from her family.
With the assistance and guidance of the control center of the David Division, Border Guard soldiers who operated on the spot together with David Division police officers, located the suspect and she was arrested by them. The suspect was transferred for questioning in the David Division, from which it emerged that she intended to carry out an attack and be a martyr and indicated in the letter that she supports the terrorist organization Hamas, a letter which she signed with her name and added the word "shahid."
The investigation also revealed that the suspect's father is a terrorist who carried out an attack about a year ago in the Judea and Samaria region. He was neutralized and eliminated in the attack, in which several members of the security forces were injured. In addition, the police located photos of terrorists in the suspect's possession.
The suspect who was arrested by the police was brought to the court today to discuss the extension of her detention. Her detention was extended for the sake of the continuation of the investigation and its completion.
