Ismail Sarraj, the commander of the Nuzirat Battalion, and his deputy Ahmed Vahaba, were killed tonight (Saturday) in an air force attack, led by the Southern Command and directed by the Intelligence and Shin Bet Division.
Sarraj, the commander of the Nuzirat battalion in the terrorist organization Hamas, in the past served as the commander of the Nukhba company in Hamas and as an operative in the production of rocket weapons.
His deputy, Ahmed Vahaba, was appointed to the position of the commander after the IDF and the Shin Bet eliminated the previous lieutenant, Abed Alrahman, in the first weeks of the fighting.
Vahaba held a variety of field and headquarters positions in the terrorist organization Hamas, including involvement in the organization's training program. Alongside these, he was involved in promoting the execution of terrorist attacks from the Gaza Strip to the territory of Israel.
On October 7, the Nuzirat Battalion launched significant raids into Israel, targeting the Gaza Strip envelope settlements and Kibbutz Be'eri in particular. During the fighting, the battalion operatives were engaged in promoting anti-tank fire patterns and unmanned aerial vehicles towards the IDF forces.
