The IDF revealed (Wednesday) special documentation of the destruction of the tunnel route that was spread over about 250 meters below and around the Shifa Hospital.

According to a statement from the IDF spokesperson, in recent weeks the fighters of the Yahalom Unit under the command of the 7th Brigade's combat team in the 36th Division and with the cooperation of special forces, destroyed the significant tunnel route of the terrorist organization Hamas that was exposed under the Shifa Hospital. Now, the footage of the destruction of the route has been revealed.

250 meters leading to several terror centers

This route of tunnels is spread over about 250 meters leading to a number of significant terror centers and are a central infrastructure for carrying out terrorist operations. The above-ground hospital building was not damaged. The IDF destroyed the terrorist route of Hamas while the humanitarian activity at the hospital could continue to take place.

It was also reported that this route illustrates the method of operation of the terrorist organization Hamas, according to which an underground tunnel infrastructure is being built under the hospitals and connected to nearby shafts for terrorist activities. These tunnels allow the terrorist organizations to conduct their activities freely and in disguise underground.

According to the IDF, the terrorist organization Hamas systematically operates in the hospitals in the Gaza Strip and in the areas adjacent to them, using the residents as human shields and exploiting the hospital's infrastructure, including electricity and water.
