Almost three months after the war began, the members of the Knesset who live beyond the Green Line, in the settlements of Judea and Samaria, received an order from the Knesset guard to collect protective vests and helmets for personal protection.
The guidance surprisingly reached the offices of the members of the Knesset, who were asked to come and take the protective equipment home with them and make sure it is available in case of need, this in light of security concerns for their lives.
It should be noted that only the ministers receive close security and the members of the Knesset are secured according to operational and intelligence situation assessments, in accordance with the policy of the Knesset Guard and the additional security forces.
The Knesset stated after a request: "As a general rule, the Knesset does not share its professional considerations on issues related to security, including the security of Knesset members."
