The chairman of the National Unity party, Minister Benny Gantz, referred this evening (Monday) to the High Court's ruling on the cancellation of the reduction of the Clause of Reasonableness and emphasized: "These are not days for political arguments."

Against the background of the decision of the High Court judges, Minister Benny Gantz sought to calm the heated spirits surrounding the ruling on the annulment of the law to reduce the Clause of Reasonableness: "On the evening of October 7, Israeli society reached extreme places, division and hate speech that were forbidden to reach," he noted.

After the war it will be necessary to enact a law that will anchor the status of the basic laws

According to him: "The verdict must be respected, and the lesson from the conduct of the last year must be internalized - we are brothers, we all share a common destiny. These are not days for political clashes, today there are no winners and losers. Today we have only one common goal - to win the war, together."

In conclusion, he said: "After the war, we will be required to regulate the relationship between the authorities and enact a basic legislative law that will also anchor the status of the basic laws. We will do this with broad agreement, open discourse, thoroughness and statehood, with respect among all citizens of Israel. This will also be part of our victory as a state and as a society."
