The price of fuel is expected to increase tonight at midnight by about 28 agorot per liter and therefore, self-service 95 octane gasoline will be 7.2 NIS per liter.

The provision that reduces the excise tax on fuel is not expected to be extended, as of now, by the Minister of Finance. The benefit will end after almost two years of the state waiving part of the excise tax on the price of fuel.

The fuel subsidy through the tax reduction lasted for a year and a half, and reached its peak at 1 NIS per liter. In a statement issued by the Fuel and Gas Administration at the Ministry of Energy, it was stated that "so far, our office has not received any update from the Ministry of Finance regarding the excise order for January 2024, therefore the excise order in effect is the complete and current excise order.

The price of fuel for the month of January 2024 - will be 7.22 NIS per liter - an increase of 28 agorot from the previous update (an increase of about 4%). The price in Eilat will not exceed 6.17 NIS per liter, an increase of 24 agorot from the previous update. An increase in favor of full service will be 19 agorot, unchanged from the previous update.
