Preparations for Independence Day: Theme Chosen for Beacon Ceremony
Minister of Transportation Miri Regev was appointed to be in charge of the events of the 76th anniversary of the State of Israel which will be marked "Israeli heroism" and in which expression will be given to all the events of heroism that accompanied the terrible massacre and the war.
The government approved this morning (Sunday) the appointment of Transport Minister Miri Regev to be in charge of Israel's 76th Independence Day events and the 5784 beacon lighting ceremony.
The government also approved Regev's proposal that the main theme of the torch lighting ceremony will be: "Israeli heroism".
In the shadow of the terrible massacre that took place in the south on the Seventh of October, the stories of the unimaginable acts of heroism that took place on the Seventh of October and the war that the State of Israel embarked on following it will emerge and will be reflected in the torchlight ceremony.
