The chairman of the Meretz administration tweeted this evening on his Twitter account that "in these difficult days of war, it is impossible to ignore the large number of martyrs from the religious Zionism movement. We need to salute this community that gives its life for the defense of Israel."
About two weeks ago, Yair Eisenberg, a journalist for the 'Uvda' network, also tweeted on his Twitter account and wrote: "I apologize. I apologize to the religious Zionism movement, the sector in which I grew up, and on which I poured out torrents of criticism. I apologize for underestimating what I perceived as militarism and sanctifying the bereaved over life," he wrote. "I apologize for making fun of the factory that in my view contained within it one bar of excellence that does not know how to accommodate people who go beyond the bar."
"I stand in shame in front of the unimaginable percentages of the sector's casualties in the war. I stand with remorse and am thankful, sorry that I saw the concept of the sector as the sanctification of bereavement and not as the sanctification of the other's life over your own, and thanks to the factory that is responsible for raising masses of excellent young people who are willing to pay with their lives to protect my life."
