A resident of Jerusalem was arrested by the police on suspicion of committing sexual offenses against minors. His detention was extended in court and the police are working to find more victims.
Earlier this month, the police received a report about a suspect in the center of Jerusalem who sexually harassed minors. Police officers from Lev HaBira station in the Jerusalem district, who arrived at the scene arrested the suspect (35), and he was taken to the police station for questioning. According to the suspicion, the suspect - Moshe Berkowitz also consumed pedophilia content, hurt minors, and committed sexual offenses against them, when the youngest of his victims was 6 years old.
Due to the severity of his actions and at the request of the police, the suspect's detention in court was extended once again this week by 8 days. In addition to the investigation conducted by the Lev HaBira station, the suspicion that there were other cases in which the suspect was involved was examined, and the police are working to locate additional victims of the suspect's actions.
The police appeal to the public - anyone who has been harmed by the actions of the suspect, or, by actions with similar characteristics, is asked to contact the police station closest to their place of residence and report it.
