The Universities have Decided: this is the Opening Date of the Year

The university heads' committee officially announced that the opening date of the academic school year has been decided. In the shadow of the fighting, according to the outline drawn up by the heads of the universities, all classes will open at the end of the month on December 31, while a special date will be provided for the reserve soldiers.

According to the decision of the committee of university heads, the school year will open in two phases. Officially in about a week the standard school year will open for students who are not actively serving in the reserves, while the committee of university heads formulated a decision for an additional phase for the reserve soldiers. The designated phase will be determined according to the continuation of the fighting in the Strip.

In the last few months and weeks, there has been a dialogue between the student organizations and the reservists and the management of the universities, and a campaign on behalf of the reservists who are supposed to start the coming school year has come out against the universities' intention to start the school year without considering serving students. On behalf of the student associations and the various protest organizations, no responses have been given so far to the formation of the outline and its publication.
