The IDF announced this morning (Friday) that terrorist infrastructures used by Hamas security forces along the Gaza-Egypt border were struck.

According to the IDF Spokesperson, fighter planes, helicopters, and drones guided by IDF Intelligence and Southern Command destroyed military sites, guard positions, observation posts, weapons warehouses, and command and control rooms of the Hamas security forces located on the Gaza-Egypt border.

The sites struck in the Rafah area reportedly aided the smuggling efforts of the Hamas terrorist organization, including weapons endangering IDF soldiers and Israeli civilians.

According to the IDF, “hitting these terrorist infrastructures harms the ability of the terrorist organization to smuggle more weapons into the Strip. The Hamas security mechanism exploits its dispersal and activity to steal humanitarian resources entering the Strip, aid the smuggling of additional weapons, and its activists are also part of the Hamas terrorist activity against IDF forces in the Strip.”
