"Houthis Crossed a Red Line"
Herzog: "The Houthis have Crossed a Red Line in the Red Sea"
State President Isaac Herzog referred to the threats to ships in Yemen and said that "the Houthis have crossed a red line in the Red Sea. The international activity against them under the leadership of the United States must be strengthened and intensified, in the form of a real international coalition."

President Isaac Herzog today (Wednesday) addressed the threats of the Houthi rebels in Yemen, and called on the world to act in a targeted manner against them due to the continued attacks on ships in the Red Sea.
"The Houthis have crossed a red line in the Red Sea. The international activity against them must be strengthened under the leadership of the US, in the form of a real international coalition," Herzog said.
"Under the direction of their totalitarian commanders in Tehran, the Houthis' ongoing acts of terrorism and robbery against ships of all nationalities and ownerships require the entire international community to act in a united manner, with strength and determination to eliminate this vile threat to the global economy and trade."
As a reminder, this morning another incident was reported in the Bab-el-Mandeb strait near the coast of Yemen, for the third time this week. The Maritime Trade Organization of Great Britain called on every ship passing through the area to report suspicious incidents.
This case is added to a similar incident that happened yesterday: a report of the hijacking of another ship near the Bab-el-Mandeb Strait - the gateway to the Red Sea from the Indian Ocean. The identity of the ship is still not definitively clear, but apparently it is an oil tanker that made its way from the Persian Gulf towards the Red Sea and the Suez Canal. The vessel was attacked by an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) that caused a fire on board and was followed by Yemeni Navy ships that demanded the captain change his route to a port in Yemen.
In the last two months, the Houthis have already attacked more than ten ships, some of them managed to escape, and some of them were robbed by them. The famous one is the ship carrying vehicles that is in a Yemeni port and has become a tourist attraction where hundreds of people come a day to examine the success of the Houthi Navy.
