Publication Permitted: Name of Another IDF Fallen Soldier in Gaza Released

It was allowed to be published that Sergeant Eran Aloni, 19 years old, from Ofakim, a fighter in the 51st Battalion in the Golani Brigade, was killed last night in a battle in the northern Gaza Strip. This brought to nine the number of casualties in last night's heavy fighting in Shuja'iyya.

The name of another victim from the serious incident in Sajaya has been released: Sergeant Eran Aloni, 19 years old, from Ofakim, a fighter in the 51st Battalion, Golani Brigade, was killed last night in a battle in the northern Gaza Strip. Major Roy Meldasi, 23 years old, from Afula, company commander in the 13th Battalion, Golani Brigade, was killed last night in a battle in the northern Gaza Strip. After his death, he was promoted to the rank of Major. His funeral will be held on Wednesday, December 13, 2023, at the military cemetery in Afula.

Major Moshe Avraham Bar-On, 23 years old, from Ra'anana, a company commander in the 51st Battalion, Golani Brigade, was killed last night in a battle in the northern Gaza Strip. He was promoted from the rank of Captain to the rank of Major after his death.

Sergeant Achia Daskal, 19 years old, from Haifa, a fighter in the 51st Battalion, Golani Brigade, was killed last night in a battle in the northern Gaza Strip. He was promoted from the rank of Corporal to the rank of Sergeant after his death.

Captain Lial Hayo (Hayo), 22 years old, from Shoham, a platoon commander in the 51st Battalion, Golani Brigade, was killed last night in a battle in the northern Gaza Strip. He was promoted from the rank of Lieutenant to the rank of Captain after his death.

Major Ben Shelly, 26 years old, from Kidron, commander of a platoon of fighters in the Special Tactics Rescue Unit (669), fell last night in a battle in the northern Gaza Strip.

Major Rom Hecht (Rom), 20 years old, from Giv'atayim, a fighter in the Special Tactics Rescue Unit (669), fell last night in a battle in the northern Gaza Strip. He was promoted from the rank of first Sergeant to the rank of Sergeant Major after his death.

Staff Sergeant Oriya Yaakov, 19 years old, from Ashkelon, a fighter in Battalion 614, the School of Combat Engineering, was killed yesterday in a battle in the north of the Gaza Strip. He was promoted from the rank of Sergeant to the rank of Staff Sergeant after his death. His funeral will be held today (Wednesday), Sunday, December 13, 2023, at 15:00, at the military cemetery in Ashkelon.

This brought the number of IDF martyrs since the beginning of the fighting to 442. In addition, in last night's battle in which soldiers of the Golani Brigade fell, a soldier from the 51st Battalion, Golani Brigade was seriously injured. Also, in the battle in which the late Sgt. Oriya Yaakov fell yesterday, a fighter in the 614th Battalion, the School of Combat Engineering, and an operational documentation fighter, of the IDF Spokesperson Formation were seriously injured.

In addition, a fighter in the 605th Battalion, Combat Engineering Corps, was seriously injured in a battle in the northern Gaza Strip. All the injured were evacuated to receive medical treatment at the hospital. Their families have been informed.
