France has issued an order freezing the assets of Hamas Gaza Leader Yahya Sinwar, architect of the October 7 massacre, according to an officially published order Tuesday.

“The moneys and economic assets belonging to or under the control of Mister Yahya Sinwar are subject to asset freezing means,” according to the order from November 30, which went into force today (Tuesday). However, the actual scope of these assets remains unknown.

On November, the Secretary of the French government called on Europe to sanction Hamas leaders, especially financially, including in the form of freezing assets.

Mohammad Dief’s Assets Also Frozen

In a similar order from November 13, France announced that Hamas military arm leader Mohammad Dief’s assets would be frozen. Dief is on America’s list of “most wanted international terrorists since 2015.”
