The meeting of the families of hostages with the war cabinet ministers headed by the Prime Minister will take place today (Tuesday) at 15:00. The meeting will include senior representatives of government ministries working to return the hostages home.

At a press conference family representatives held yesterday, a sharp message was sent to the war cabinet: “If you don’t have time to update us on how you intend to bring back our relatives from captivity, then maybe we need to find another representative from among the leaders of the world.”

According to them, “we accepted the renewal of the war as the result of the violation of the agreement of rounds with Hamas. We will not beg you anymore. We will return to Begin Gate from 20:00 this evening … and we will wait until you find time for the families of the kidnapped.”

“We will not get on our knees for Netanyahu and Gantz”

Daniel Lifshitz, grandson of Oded Lifshitz who’s being held in Gaza noted that “we call on the war cabinet to immediately return to the negotiating table. You promised us that you would bring back our hostages at any cost. Their clock has run out. We are losing them. There is no time, there is no food, and there is no air in the Hamas tunnels in Gaza.”

“We heard the horrors from those who returned and the state of those who were there. My grandfather doesn’t have time. He doesn’t have medicines and he doesn’t have a sense of time anymore. They think they were forgotten there. We call on the war cabinet not to forget them. If you have no interest in representing us, we will turn to one of the leaders of the world who will agree to represent them. We will not get on our knees and we will not beg Netanyahu, Gantz, Eisenkot, Dermer, and Gallant. We will sit round the Kiryah and not go anywhere until you talk to us.”
