An elite unit of the IDF and a force of the Shin Bet are now escorting the two abductees in Israel. After undergoing an initial assessment of their medical condition, our forces will accompany the returnees until they reach their families in the hospitals.
The two abductees who were released tonight from Hamas captivity are Irena Teti (73) and her daughter Yelena Trupanov (50). Irena has worked all her life as a doctor and Yelena works at the 'Nirlat' company. On the Black Sabbath, they were both kidnapped along with Yelena's son Sasha (28) and his partner Sapir Cohen (29) who are still in Hamas captivity. On the same day, Yelena's husband, Vitaly Trupanov, was murdered. They were all kidnapped from their home in Kibbutz Nir Oz.
Besides Irena and Yelena, ten abductees will be released tonight as part of the deal for the release of abductees between the State of Israel and the murderous terrorist organization Hamas. The Prime Minister's Office stated that "the Government of Israel embraces the two abductees who were released as part of the round expected today. The Government of Israel is committed to the return of all abductees and missing people."
