The French news agency AFP reported (Wednesday) that a source close to Hamas said that the abductees who are to be released today from captivity as part of the sixth round have been transferred to the Red Cross in the Gaza Strip. Meanwhile, there are technical delays in the execution of the round, according to a political source. In addition, it was reported that the deal will be completed by midnight. The cabinet will meet at 11 p.m. regarding the continuation of the outline extension.
According to the lists, 5 women and 7 children are supposed to be released as part of the agreement to continue the ceasefire. The Red Cross also reports that two additional abductees with Israeli and Russian citizenship were also released, this is in addition to the abductees released in the deal. It is also reported that all those released were handed over to the Red Cross.
Earlier, in a document published on social networks, the two abductees Irena Tati and Yelena Trupanov are seen being transferred from the hands of Hamas terrorists to the Red Cross organization to the sound of an angry Gazan crowd shouting 'Allahu Akbar' and celebrating. We also see in the video that the terrorists instruct the abductees to wave goodbye.
An IDF spokesman said that an elite unit of the IDF and a force of the Shin Bet are now accompanying the two abductees back to Israel. After they undergo an initial assessment of their medical condition, our forces will accompany the returnees until they arrive to their families in the hospitals.
