The head of the Mossad, Dedi Barnea, clarified today (Tuesday) in a meeting in Qatar with the Prime Minister of Qatar, the head of the CIA and the head of Egyptian intelligence that Israel will not hold a discussion on further deals until all the women and children held captive in Gaza are released and returned to Israel, journalist Barak Ravid published in Walla.
According to the report, between 30 and 40 more women and children are in the hands of Hamas, and Israel expects that they will be released in the coming days as part of the extension of the cease-fire agreement with Hamas. According to an Israeli official, "agreements can be reached on additional groups of abductees, but Israel has made it clear that this will only happen after the current outline is fully exhausted and all the women and children are released."
Earlier this evening it was reported in the world press that, in preparation for the completion of the current hostage release deal, Israel and Qatar are negotiating a release deal that will include the men held captive by Hamas, among them the elderly, men of reserve age and soldiers.
According to the British Financial Times newspaper, knowledgeable sources revealed to the newspaper's officials that, in anticipation of the current deal reaching the end of all the grace days and the hostages who can be released within the framework, Israel and Qatar are already holding talks regarding additional stages of deals for the release of hostages.
