The Minister of National Security Itamar Ben-Gvir announced emphatically that if the fighting does not resume, his party will dissolve the government.
Minister Ben-Gvir published a short and unambiguous message on social networks, in which he simply announced that: "stopping the war = dissolving the government."
Minister Ben-Gvir's announcement comes against the background of a series of reports, from a number of different sources, according to which Israel is conducting talks with the Qataris on another hostage release deal that will include a significant cessation of hostilities and heavy prices, alongside the Israeli reports of a deal that will likely be offered to Israel in the near future, to which Hamas will agree to release all the abductees held captive by the terrorist organization, in exchange for a full ceasefire.
The announcement joins Ben-Gvir's and Otzma Yehudit's opposition to the outline of the previous deal in general, and their demand to return to fighting as soon as possible and bring Hamas to the negotiating table from a position of strength in the Strip.
