Defense Minister Yoav Gallant met today (Monday) with Givati and Shiryon soldiers who fought in Gaza and went to refresh themselves in a special complex established by the Technology and Logistics Division of the IDF. During the meeting, Gallant toured the equipment completion and repair facilities, laundry services and rest areas. The head of the technology and logistics division, Colonel Michel Yanko and the deputy commander of the Givati Brigade, Lieutenant Colonel David Ron, participated in the visit.
"Everywhere I go I hear: 'Let us complete the mission, we're going to the end,'" Gallant told the soldiers. "I want you to know that the Israel Defense Forces, the security establishment, the government of Israel, the entire people of Israel and I certainly stand behind you 100 percent until you complete the tasks. We will not stop until we finish."
He also said that "You now have a few days, we will return to fighting, we will use the same intensity and more. This is the task now. Remember that while you are organizing and resting and debriefing, the enemy is also doing the same. You will meet something that is a little more prepared. Therefore they will meet first the bombs of the air force, after that the shells of the tanks and the artillery and the D9, and finally the shooting of the infantry fighters. We will fight in the entire strip."
"Besides the duty imposed on you, consider this a great privilege" concluded Gallant. "Not every generation gets to fight a just war that must be won. That's why we're all behind you."
