Residents of Ofakim came out en masse with great excitement to welcome the abductees who were handed over to the IDF on their way to medical examinations at the hospitals.
The residents came out with Israeli flags, clapped, sang and cheered for the abductees who traveled in the convoy of ambulances that entered the city of Ofakim which also suffered 50 casualties on the day of the terrible massacre.
Earlier the convoy arrived at the Hatzerim base and there Israeli citizens were waiting with signs along the road to strengthen the abductees sitting in the Israeli vehicles, the abductees waved to the residents of Ofakim in return.
